January

1/27 1/28- Tue. evening - Wed.

Kathleen continued to experience some seizures but with some sedatives they have subsided.

Family members said that she was moving and responding to physical stimulus but still has not awakened.

Kathleen just had an EEG completed and doctors found there that swelling in her brain had come down slightly. The doctor stated that there is no need for surgery to relieve the swelling.

She is breathing with some assistance of a ventilator to reduce the strain on her

Her fever has gone down to almost normal levels.

Kathleen’s seizures are “sensory” based. This type of seizure is very rare and there are less than 10 cases in the history of medical records of this symptom.

1/29-1/30- Thu.-Fri. morning

Kathleen did experience some seizures but fewer than the previous days.

She had a very restful Thu. night.

Brain swelling was about the same with no increase or decrease in pressure.

1/30-1/31 Fri. evening-Sat

Fri evening Kathleen opened her mouth upon request by a neurologist.  Kathleen also squinted.

Brain swelling was about the same with no increase or decrease in pressure.

Kathleen is continuing to have seizures and so her sedative level has increased.

Brain activity can be seen when waved to from the bedside.
